Dr. Tamar Mendelson, a Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Pubic Health professor of american health, has received a $3.75 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to examine the relation of key health and mental health factors to youth participation in a Baltimore employment initiative, Grads2Careers, and to longer-term youth employment and health outcomes.

Dr. Mendelson is the director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Adolescent Health, a CDC-funded Prevention Research Center, with joint appointments in the Bloomberg School’s department of mental health and department of population, family and reproductive health.
